In light of existing socio economic challenges and Covid 19 pandemic, long and short-term solutions have to be implemented to limit and manage the impact on the education system. The matric results of 2020 are evidence of the success achieved when parents and teachers working together in pushing the syllabus. The 2020 academic year however did take a tall on not only the learners and educators but the parents alike as they all had to go an extra mile in meeting the 2020 academic year. The Makelyt is designed to help ease the load on all parties concerned by creating an easy to use, collaborative platform that makes the load lighter. Makelyt is designed to not disturb the education process but to strengthen existing high school education support programs. It further supports skills alignment and economic growth by addressing the preparatory gap phase that exists between high schools and tertiary institutions.
